
Child & Adolescent Therapy
Our Principal Psychologist, Anika Mitchell, works with children and adolescents from 4 years of age and older.
Anika has a passion for helping your child reach their full potential focusing on each individual child’s strengths, nurturing and growing them. Anika is experienced in supporting children and their families with concerns about behaviour, emotional regulation, academic performance and/or other concerns. Anika works with children aged 4 years and over, providing a supportive and collaborative approach to help children and adolescents understand and express their thoughts and emotions, become more socially and emotionally aware, support positive behaviour change, and building coping strategies.
Anika provides individually targeted therapeutic intervention for a wide range of psychological areas and has knowledge and experience in the following areas:

Anika has over 10 years experience working in psychotherapy helping families support their child’s social and emotional development and growth. Anika works collaboratively with parents supporting implementation of positive strategies within the home setting.
Anika’s approach is based on an initial assessment and is then tailored to the needs and circumstances of your child and your family. Sessions may involve a combination of working with your child/adolescent, working with the parent or caregiver, and working together as a family unit. With your consent, Anika may also collaborate with other health and educational providers for more holistic care.
